His Heart, My Home

As we joyfully celebrate the 249th birthday of America this weekend with family and friends, let’s thank God for the freedom He has so graciously given to us.

But as intercessors, those whom God has called to be watchmen upon the wall, we must always remember that there are dark, evil, and violent forces seeking opportunities to harm us. We must always be vigilant in spirit.

Please set aside some time this holiday to pray for God’s peace in our land and His merciful protection of America’s cities and citizens.

PLEASE JOIN US AS WE PRAY:

“Father, you are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in the time of trouble. You watch over our lives, and keep us from all harm. You are ever faithful. You establish us, keep us, and guard us against the evil one.

Lord, you are our light and our salvation. Whom shall we fear? You are the stronghold of our lives. Of whom shall we be afraid? When the wicked advance against us, you shield and protect us. It is our enemies and our foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege us, our hearts will not fear. Though war break out against us, we will still be confident. We will dwell in your secret place, Most High, held closely and hidden within your heart.

We have safety, security, and salvation in you, our Father. For in the day of trouble you will keep us safe. You will hide us in the shelter of your sacred tent and set us high upon a rock. Jesus, your name is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe.

We believe, Lord, that angels encamp all around us to protect us, and to deliver us from harm. You are our hiding place, O God. You preserve us from trouble. You surround us with songs and shouts of deliverance.

You, Lord, are a shield around us, our glory, the One who lifts up our heads. We call to you, Lord, and you answer us from your holy mountain. We lie down and sleep. We wake again, because you sustain us. You keep us in perfect peace, because our minds are stayed on you. Our minds and hearts are guarded by your peace because we trust in you.

We will not fear, for you are with us. We will not be dismayed, for you are our God. You will strengthen us. You will help us, You will uphold us with your righteous right hand. When we pass through the waters, you will be with us. When we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us. When we walk through the fire, we will not be burned. The flames will not set us ablaze.

Thank you, Father, that you always cause us to walk in victory. Through your mighty power, we will prevail over every enemy.

All who rage against us will surely be ashamed and disgraced. Those who oppose us will be as nothing and perish. Though we search for our enemies, we will not find them. Those who wage war against us will be as nothing at all. Therefore, we will be strong and courageous. We will not fear or be in dread of them, for it is you, Lord, who goes with us. You will not leave us nor forsake us. You are our strength and our salvation, forever and ever.
