So I walked, then I ran, with my heart all aflame
With each step that I took, I heard Him calling my name
At last, the road familiar, the way I had known as a child
Abba ran, arms open wide, with a heart melting smile

Home, home, I’ve been dreaming of you
My heart is your home, always beating for you”

As we finally embraced, His tears wet on my neck
I started to speak, but He held me in check
As He cried, “Home, home, you’re finally home!
Your robe, and your ring, and beside me your throne”

Softly and tenderly Abba-Father is calling
He’s calling for you, and for me
“I’ll never leave you. I’ll keep you from falling
Forever at home in my heart, for all eternity”

A symphony of poetry from the psalmist’s lyre
Heaven’s orchestra playing, aflame with Spirit fire

The children from every earthly nation
Laughing, leaping and dancing in joyous celebration

Choirs singing every note in the heavenly tongue
Christ seated in majesty, salvation’s work forever done

Vibrations of life, rhythms of healing
Countless multitudes in worship now kneeling

Crescendos of thunder arise from the throne
Cymbals clashing, lightning flashing, His presence made known

Mighty, worthy, holy, the Christ in all His glory
Forever adored, victorious Savior and Lord

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! To the Resurrected King!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Forever we shall sing!

Worshipping Him forever, world without end!
