Forever Faithful – From Start to Finish

2026… WOW! How quickly the FUTURE becomes the NOW… then HISTORY!

Moment-by-moment, and day-by-day, time rushes by, an ever-changing kaleidoscope.

Trying to hold time in your heart feels like trying to hold a waterfall in your hands!

In a world that is constantly changing…
ONE thing is CONSTANTLY CONSTANT.  ONE thing is ASSUREDLY SURE.

That ONE CONSTANT is God’s faithfulness to His Word! It is the very force that holds time, space, matter, energy, and all creation together. It is the supernatural glue that prevents everything from flying apart into multiplied trillions of irrelevant pieces.

“… (He is) upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful Word…”
(Hebrews 1:3, Amplified Bible)

God’s faithfulness is the thread that He used to knit us together in our mother’s womb, the same thread that is woven through every moment, every day, and every season of our lives. His faithfulness forever holds our lives together. (see Psalm 139:13-16)

” ²² Yahweh’s, tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of His endless love is never exhausted. ²³ New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! (Lamentations 3:22-23, TPT)

Can we say that ( “no end”… “endless”… “never exhausted”… ) about anything else?

The universe is incredibly large, but finite. It has edges. It can be measured.

Time can also be measured. It is only a single dimension created by the Eternal One. Time has both a beginning and an end.

But the Father’s loving mercies? Not only are they endless, infinite, and inexhaustible, but… they are straight out of heaven’s ovens, hot, and fresh… ETERNALLY NEW and ETERNALLY NOW each morning!

The Hebrew word for NEW in the verse above is “chadash” which means, “to restore; rebuild; and renew”.

The word “chadash” also speaks of “purging, purifying, and polishing.”

Combining these two meanings gives us a picture of the Master Craftsman, carefully and gently removing any dent, scratch, or blemish from our frequent “fender benders” with the world, fixing anything that would mar or deface the image of Christ in us.

He is ever-willing and ever-ready, not just in the mornings, but in every moment, to restore and realign us with His plans and purposes for our lives.

He continually renews our awareness, our appreciation, and our acceptance of His endless supply of love, mercy, and grace!
Great is His faithfulness!

I LOVE THIS VERSE:
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” (Ephesians 2:10, AMPC)

We are His “workmanship”. The Greek word is “poiema”, which is the source of our English words, “poem” and “poetry”.

We are a LIVING POEM, born anew, recreated by our Father, written to rhyme with His heart! We are a work of art! We are His creative masterpiece!

His unique and individualized purpose, design, and plan for our lives was completed before the foundation of the universe, agreed upon and approved by Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Now, day-by-day, and year-by-year, the Master Craftsman patiently perfects us. It’s the work of a lifetime.

He never gives up. He takes no days off, no vacations, or leaves of absence. He keeps on keeping on. He never quits. He never falters. He never fatigues. He never fails.

He is forever faithful!

“And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.” (Philippians 1:6, AMPC)

I don’t know all that the NEW YEAR will bring. But I do know this with absolute certainty:

Abba’s unending, unfailing, unconditional, love, mercy, and faithfulness will fill each and every moment of each and every day in 2026!

How can we be so sure? Because He is unchanging; because He is true to His Word; and because we have experienced His faithfulness in our own lives, over and over again… and over again!

As the Apostle Paul remembered God’s faithfulness to rescue him in the past, Holy Spirit gave him confidence that God would do it again.

“[For it is He] who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself]…” (2 Corinthians 1:10 AMPC)

He “rescued and saved” – PAST
He “will still rescue and save” – PRESENT
He “will again deliver and draw” – FUTURE

Paul wrote those words while he was in Caesar’s prison. Paul was in prison, but the prison wasn’t in Paul. Paul had a living hope. Paul had peace. Paul had a joyful expectation. Paul had faith, an unshakable confidence in God’s faithfulness.

As we close the door on 2025, and open the door to the NEW YEAR, let’s realize that God’s faithfulness has already preceded us, making the crooked places straight, and the rough places smooth. His eternal faithfulness has established our path forward, every step of the way.

Charge into 2026 with your heart full of faith! Let the Eternal One hold it all together for you in the NEW YEAR! He is the Source of Life! He is the Master of Time!

He is our Creator, the Master-Builder of all!
He is the Author and Finisher of our faith!
He is our Savior! He is our Healer! He is our Deliverer! He is our King! He is our God!

He HAS always been faithful!
He IS faithful TODAY!
He WILL always be FOREVER-FAITHFUL!

May you and yours have a blessed and prosperous New Year! In Jesus’ Name!
