God’s Rx for Health – Part One

Beloved Friends,

We began our series of posts on divine healing on July 26 with the absolute assurance that God’s Word will NOT return to Him void, without result, without accomplishing what He desires, nor without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

That’s because God’s Word is alive and full of power. It is active, operative, energizing, and effective. It will bring healing to anyone who believes it and receives it. (Hebrews 4:12)

The key to the Word’s healing power is to use it diligently just like you would a medication that had been prescribed by your doctor. Please read or reread “God’s Medicine” posted on 9/18/24 to refresh this truth in your mind and spirit.

Then, use the scriptures and prayer/confessions found in the four “God’s Rx for Health” posts as your supernatural medicine.

Read the Word. Meditate on the Word. Speak the Word only, day after day, after day!

Refuse to doubt! Refuse to give up! Healing is yours!

Father, Grace and I pray that your unconditional love and unfailing mercy would bring healing to all those who have come to this site. Stretch forth your hand to the sick, the hurting, and the weary. Heal them. Restore them. Strengthen them. Fill their hearts with a fresh revelation of your love. Make their lives a testimony of your goodness and your grace. Be glorified in and through them.

In the wonderful name of Jesus, our Healer, we pray, Amen!

Isaiah 53:4-5 (Amplified Classic)
⁴ Surely He has borne our griefs, sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment… ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities. The chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him, we are healed and made whole.

Prayer/Confession: Thank you, Jesus, for bearing my sin, sickness, and pain on the cross. You became a magnet for my sin, my shame, my sickness and my pain. I receive, by faith, the spiritual life, the physical health, and the mental and emotional wholeness that You bought for me when you took those stripes on your back and died on the cross. I am saved! I am healed! I am free! And it’s all because of you, Jesus!

1 Peter 2:24 (Amplified Classic)
He personally bore our sins in His own body on the tree (as on an altar and offered Himself on it) that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By whose wounds you have been healed.

Prayer/Confession: Thank you, Jesus, that just like you became sin for me so, that I would die to sin, and be made alive to righteousness, I was healed by Your stripes, as well! I believe that my healing is past tense: I have been healed by your stripes! Since I was healed, I am healed! Thank you, Lord for healing me!

John 19:30 (NKJV)
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Prayer/Confession: Lord, I agree with you! When you died, the work you had been sent to accomplish was complete. You don’t ever have to die again for my salvation, and you don’t ever have to die again for my physical healing. It was all completed when you died on the cross! It is finished! My salvation was finished at the cross. And my healing was finished at the cross, too. Sickness is finished in my life! By your stripes, Lord, I am healed.

Psalms 103:2-5 (NKJV)
² Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: ³ Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, ⁴ who redeems your life from destruc- tion, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, ⁵ who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Verse 3 (Passion Translation) You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease.

Prayer/Confession: Lord, I’m not going to forget the benefits that are part of my relationship with you! Thank you for your benefits freely and graciously given to me. Thank you for forgiving all my sins, all my faults, all my failures, and all my disobedience. You heal all my sicknesses, all my diseases, all my pains, and all my infirmities. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease. Thank you, Lord, for redeeming my life from destruction, for crowning me with your lovingkindness and tender mercies. And thank you, Lord, for satisfying my mouth with good things and renewing my strength and stamina!

Psalm 91: 9-10; 14-16 (NKJV)
⁹ Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, ¹⁰ no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling… ¹⁴ “Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known my name. ¹⁵ He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. ¹⁶ With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Prayer/Confession: Lord, I cling to you. You are my refuge. You are my dwelling place! No storm can move me. No enemy can defeat me. No evil shall befall me, and no plagues can come near my dwelling, neither my home, nor my body. When I call on you, Lord, you answer me. When I cry out to you, I know healing and help are on the way. I am assured of your loving presence. You are always with me, especially when I am in trouble. You deliver me out of my troubles and honor me. You, Lord, satisfy me with long life, and show me your salvation!

John 10:10 (Amplified Classic)
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full till it overflows).

Prayer/Confession:
The enemy is a thief and schemes to steal my health and enjoyment of life. But he cannot succeed. The Lord of Hosts, strong and mighty in battle, has defeated the enemy and destroyed his works. Sickness and disease are under my feet. Sin is under my feet. Satan is under my feet. Jesus’ victory is my victory! I am healed! Jesus has given me life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.

Psalm 118:17 (NKJV)
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Prayer/Confession: Father, you are the source of all life. Your word is life to me and medicine to my flesh. Your spirit raised me together with Christ to newness of life. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets me free from the law of sin and death. Therefore, I will not die through an attack of disease against my body. I will live. I will walk in health and vitality. I will not die, but live, and declare the awesomeness of God.

Nahum 1:9
What do you conspire against the Lord? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time.

NOTE: Sometimes we receive a healing from the Lord, but lying symptoms try to come to convince us, “You thought you were healed, but it was only temporary relief. You aren’t really healed!” That is a lie! The attempt of sickness to come back on our body is a conspiracy against the Lord. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Word says that this affliction cannot come a second time!

Prayer/Confession: By the stripes of Jesus, I was healed! I reject these symptoms, and I command them to leave my body. This sickness cannot come back a second time. No relapses in Jesus’ name!

Jeremiah 30:17 (The Message)
As for you, I’ll come with healing, curing the incurable because they all gave up on you and dismissed you as hopeless.

Prayer/Confession:
Father, you are my Healer, ever merciful and gracious. You heal me and make me whole from every disease and infirmity. There is no disease that is incurable to you. Nothing is hopeless to you. Nothing is impossible to you, and because I’m a believer, all things are possible to me! You make me well again. You make me strong again. You make me whole again. You increase health to me. You satisfy me with long life and show me your salvation!

Proverbs 4:20-23 (NKJV)
²⁰ My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. ²¹ Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; ²² For they are life to those who find them, and health (literally “medicine”) to all their flesh. ²³ Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Verse 21 (Passion Translation) Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being.

Prayer/Confession: Father, your Word is health to my flesh. Your Word is medicine to my body. The life and healing power contained in your Word are saturating my spirit right now. Your Word is depositing your life and healing power into my spirit. That life and healing power are overflowing from my spirit into every part of me. Your Word is bathing and saturating every cell, every tissue, and every organ in my body with your healing power. Thank you, Father! I am healed!
